Women are Bishops too, God does not Support Their Oppression in the Church---Rev. M. R. Popoola

It was yet another edifying moment today as the General Overseer of New Testament Christian Mission International, Rev. M. R. Popoola took time to reveal from the Scripture that women are also Bishops, who need not oppression but encouragement to serve God. He made the revelation during the second day of the ongoing Pastors and Church Workers' Leadership Conference (2020 PCWLC) aired on the church Facebook page.

According to the cleric, God is not in support of the widespread tradition that disallows women from assuming key leadership positions in the body of Christ.   He revealed further  that women were sufficiently used in the Bible as spiritual leaders, noting that the present trend of silencing women in the church is uncriptural and a mere tradition of men that should be dealt with to allow the church function appropriately.

The Reverend therefore advised that "we should allow women to function in the church, otherwise we set limitation for God."

Taking cues from Mark 16:11, Acts 21:8-9, Romans 16:14-15, where God used women such as Mary Magdalene, Julia, Olympas, Phebe and many others, the Reverend went on to note that "just as the Holy Spirit can use men, He can also use women to affect the world. If God can use men to teach, he can also use women to teach."

In concluding his sermon, the cleric enjoined church leaders to "rather encourage women to take leadership positions in the church, revealing that "God is out to use women mightily in this end time."

The Conference continues tomorrow by 6pm on facebook.com/ntcmint and everyone is kindly invited to link up to the broadcast to be blessed by God.
