Divorced Believers can be Used by God, they should not be Condemned--- Rev. M. R. Popoola

Pastor M. R. Popoola of the New Testament Christian Mission International took his time today to deal with some misconceptions that have overtime become tradition in the body of Christ, hindering some Believers from serving God.

He stated during the ongoing Workers and Leadership Conference of the church themed God's Requirement for Effective Kingdom Leaders", that it's traditional to disallow Believers with past marital challenges such as divorce, from taking leadership position in the church.

Hinged on 1timothy 3:2, John 4:18 and others, he expatiated that no matter how  terrible one's marital life is as a Believer, God can still use him or her to advance the Gospel just as He used the Samaritan woman in the Bible. The cleric said "you have to know the reason why people got divorced before condemning them from serving God." He therefore preached that the tradition of condemning and disallowing divorced Believers from serving God the way it should be is unhealthy to the body of Christ and should be completely discouraged.
He stated that the phrase "the husband of one wife" in 1Timothy 3:1 doesn't forbid divorced Believers from serving God as erroneously preached in churches today. But means every believer should be committed to a partner.

The Conference continues tomorrow by 6pm on facebook.com/ntcmint and everyone is kindly invited to link up to the broadcast to be blessed by God.
